OUR VETERANS, THEIR STORIES

Life on the Line is a podcast that talks to Australian military veterans and records their stories in their own words. From World War II to the 21st Century, these are the stories of Australian men and women, each of whom put their life on the line for their country.

Life on the Line‘s vision is to capture raw human stories behind the broader brushstrokes of history, and to explore the meaning of ‘service’ – why people serve, and how a life of service changes them. From acts of valour to the trauma of conflict, and how veterans can grow and change from that trauma, this podcast seeks to discover the human side of war, the truth of battle scars and what it’s like to really put one’s life on the line.

Life After Service is a new video documentary series that talks to veterans about their life, struggles and successes after military service.

CONTACT is collaborating with the Life on the Line and Life After Service crew to serialise their fabulous work here on our pages. We intend to add a new podcast and/or video fortnightly, and highlight each one in our ADF People Newsletter. If you can’t wait two weeks for each new instalment from CONTACT, you can also find more than 100 interviews on the LOTL web site.
