Defence hits 80 COVID-19 cases

Defence added another COVID-19 case this morning – after adding one more on the weekend – bringing its total to 80 cases.

Two more were also added to the list of officially ‘recovered’.

Today’s case was added to Defence’s “Latest Updates” page without changing yesterday’s date – and the weekend case was added without making a change to their little black map (or the date) – making it impossible for CONTACT to deduce which case came first – but, one case has been added in Melbourne and one overseas on today’s map.

In semi-related news – more than 1000 US Marines in the NT have been released from quarantine, with just one positive case (discovered in early July) still in hospital, but pending release after a negative test.
