Powerful, heartbreaking video calls (again) for Royal Commission into Veteran Suicide

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing ok.

Senator Jacqui Lambie has just released a powerful video which perfectly explains why we still need a Royal Commission.

Please, take a few minutes to watch the Senator’s video.

In the video, you’ll see footage of my son Dave’s funeral.

It wasn’t easy to show the world just how devastating that day was, how devastating every day is without Dave.

But as I say in the video: I don’t want any more mums to go through what I, and too many other mums, have endured.

This is why we won’t stop until we get a Royal Commission.

Last week was a busy week, where I met a few politicians: Andrew Wilkie by phone, Shayne Nuemann by zoom and Steve Georganas in person.

They all support a Royal Commission into veteran suicide, which we continue to fight for – so that all living veterans can use the findings to seek appropriate treatment, accountability and justice.

We’re less than a month away from Remembrance Day 2020. I will be in touch soon with more info on what VetsWeForget has planned to honour all our fallen heroes.

In the meantime, please keep sharing the petition, which is now over 363,000 signatures, and follow the Vets We Forget Facebook page.
