Organisers said they had no idea on how long the ban on mass gatherings would be in effect and, considering the risk to public health, along with the potential scope of travel bans, they decided it was in the best interests of the public and the future of the event to postpone.

“We would like to emphasise that we are postponing the event and not cancelling it,” an official statement said.

“We have been in discussions with all our stakeholders over the weekend in an attempt to lock in a suitable date as soon as possible.

“We anticipate being in a position to announce new dates within a couple of days.

“Later in 2020 you will still have the chance to see jaw-dropping solo and formation aerobatics displays and relive the past with our spectacular display of classic warbirds and amazing vintage aircraft of yesteryear.”
