The Younger Heroes – February camp

The Younger Heroes 2020 dates are now set and we are looking for veteran/current serving parents, those who serve our nation, or any parent who experiences significant physical separation from their family, to attend with their children (aged 8-15).

The first program is 21-23 February on Bruny Island Tasmania and is proudly sponsored by Bruny Island Lodge.

Many veterans have undergone multiple tours of duty overseas or first responders, corporates or remote workers spend time away from home and, in many cases, there has been a family supporting them from the home front.

Many sacrifices are asked of you, but time away from family is often cited as a key stressor.

Time away from children in their formative stages of life is a sacrifice that many parents lament.

The Younger Heroes exists to help the children spend precious time with their parent in a safe, distraction-free setting in remote, secluded properties that allow parents and children to reconnect.

The two night/three-day curriculum aims to improve the quality of the relationship between the parent and child for an extended period.

We focus on strengthening family bonds, building resilience, communication and empowering the children.

Register now for 21-23 February on www.theyoungerheroes.org – and check out Bruny Island Lodge on brunyisland.com.au
