New season underway at Pandanus Park

With the start of the 2018 season upon us, the migration starts toward Pandanus Park for those of us who enjoy bush camping, a bit of ‘barra fishing’ and love chewing on ‘cherabin’  in a veteran-friendly environment.

It has started.

During the past couple of seasons, from 25 April to 11 November, approximately 800 vets and their families have passed through Pandanus Park each season, and most have said they will return.

But, as we all know, a man is not a camel – so on our way to get supplies etc, we stop at the Laura Pub [now known as The Peninsula Hotel] it’s former name.

The photo shows a few trucks in for a re-sup and maybe a beer and a famous BLT.

The publican’s name is Kev Darmody – he is our man.
