The purpose of stability operations are to maintain or establish a secure environment, creating conditions to aid delivery of humanitarian relief, emergency infrastructure reconstruction and the provision of essential government services.

The training package is designed to introduce staff cadets to a changing battlespace, with numerous and unpredictable threats, all operating around and among local populations.

Exercise Binh Ba was conducted in Whyalla, South Australia, from 11 to 22 November 2017.
