HMAS Canberra prepared a feast of Indonesian cuisine in preparation for its port visit to Jakarta during Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2021 (IPE21).

The galley cooked up dishes including Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang, Chicken Satay, and Indonesian spiced fish which proved extremely popular in the ship’s dining rooms. Lance Corporal Christopher Lyne, a chef on HMAS Canberra, said “because our next port is Indonesia we thought it would be a good idea to get a touch and feel of the kind of food they create and look at the flavours that go into their food”.

Deployed in late August, Indonesia marked the final port visit of IPE21 for HMAS Canberra.
