Two recover from COVID-19 – Victoria still resisting help

Two more Defence cases of COVID-19 are were listed as recovered today, with no new cases of the disease reported among our armed forces.

Meanwhile, the number of ADF personnel assigned to Operation COVID-19 Assist has hit a record high with Defence saying 3095 are currently deployed.

Despite this, Defence’s accounting for support to Victoria suggests that that state is still resisting Federal-government offers of help.

Defence says it has 1469 personnel assigned to Victoria, but only 497 actually working in the state.

It is 10 days since Acting Commander COVID-19 Taskforce Major General Paul Kenny said 1000 personnel were ready to deploy to Victoria, but still no movement, according to official Defence figures updated today…
