You’ll never know unless you ask – RIMPAC coverage

CONTACT would love to go to Hawaii to cover RIMPAC18 – confident we could do an awesome job of coverage – but we can’t afford to.

So, on the basis that “you’ll never know if you don’t ask”, CONTACT is asking for sponsorship to attend RIMPAC18 – and we’d be happy to do a swapsies deal on advertising to make it worth some company’s while.

They could even write it off via their end-of-financial-year slush funds 😉

Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2018 is a multinational exercise, running from 27 June to 2 August 2018.

It is the world’s largest maritime exercise, with 25,000 personnel from 27 countries participating.

The Australian Defence Force will deploy four ships, a submarine, one aircraft and more than 1600 personnel to take part in RIMPAC in Hawaii and California this year.

And the Australian Defence Force has invited media to to visit on-shore activities as well as Australian and some foreign ships and aircraft participating in RIMPAC18, for periods of one to three days, between 11 and 24 July.

But the invitation requires that we make our own way to and from Honolulu and cover any associated accommodation costs.

If you are a company with equipment that will feature at RIMPAC18, or you just want to see Australia’s involvement covered by “Australia’s best boots-on-the-ground military magazine” – then please ring Brian Hartigan on 0408 496 664 or email editor@militarycontact.com if you are willing to cover our costs to cover RIMPAC18.
