Retired soldiers visit West Head Gunnery Range

Retired soldiers from two Army associations visited West Head Gunnery Range, Victoria, on Thursday 24 September 2015.

Members of the Royal Australian Engineers Regiment and Royal Australian Artillery Regiment were treated to a full tour of the facility and observed firings of the medium calibre Mk75 Mod 0 76mm gun

The visit was conducted during Principal Warfare Officer Week.

The component of Principal Warfare Officer Course week that is conducted at West Head Gunnery range is to expose the warfare students to the command and control aspects of firing serials.

This is the first Principal Warfare Officer Course firing week conducted since the installation of the new combat management system at West Head Gunnery Range.
