1 step, 2 step, tricky under there

In this video, I install the second step to get me out of the hole I dug in my basement.

Then, I proceed to removing the two overhanging slabs between the pit and the doorway.

And these gave me quite a bit of resistance – revealing what would turn out to be an almost ready-made third step.

All I had to do was ‘sculpt’ it from a massive block of concrete.
