Get Moving – Physical Activity for Women Veterans
This year for Veterans’ Health Week, Women Veterans United are hosting a workshop to empower and inspire you to get moving and include physical activity in your life.
This workshop is specifically for women veterans in alignment with the theme for this year – physical activity.
You will learn from industry experts how to get started or enhance your program.
This workshop includes the importance of physical activity, body image and you will hear from some who have lived experience and all who are passionate about health, wellbeing and the quality of life of women veterans.
This workshop is being live streamed via Zoom and we have the capacity to have an in-person event in Brisbane at the same time.
For those who register quickly for this in-person event, all catering will be provided and you will be able to socially interact with other women veterans from your region.
Date: Saturday 9 October 2021
Time: 8:30 am arrival for a 9 am start – 12 pm (lunch from 12 – 1:30 pm)
Venue: Ehden Restaurant, 400 Montague Road West End (Brisbane), QLD 4101
Zoom: A link will be provided closer to the date & registration is still required.
Dress: Comfortable clothing you can do movement in (this is a mindset workshop with some basic practical tips)
Catering: All catering is provided
