F-22s to fly out of Amberley

The Royal Australian Air Force will start flying alongside United States Air Force aircraft from this week as part of an Enhanced Air Cooperation activity for Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019.

Up to 12 fifth-generation USAF F-22 Raptors from 90^th Fighter Squadron in Alaska, will be based at RAAF Base Amberley until 27 July 2019.

TS19 is Australia’s largest military exercise with the US and underpins the formal ANZUS alliance between Australia and the US as the cornerstone of regional stability.

Australian aircraft participating alongside the F-22s will include F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, F/A-18 ‘classic’ Hornets and E-7A Wedgetail.
