Building a shield wall
This week I’m building a shield wall in the basement.
The purpose of this is to shield the workshop from the noisy dust collector that will one day live within.
I also used it as an opportunity to practice my arch-building skills.
And create a niche for an actual shield!

Good morning Brian
Once again, for some inexplicable reason I find myself starting my Monday morning with a coffee and watching your progress on your man cave.
I am relieved that we are no longer viewing the “plumber’s crack” as it is to early in the morning. I am not sure the you are aware that you have become a “man god” to 10s of men all over inspiring us to sit on the lounge and procrastinate over What we could do.
Finally, I would expect on completion that you will have an open day with bbq with proceeds going to the likes of legacy.

I’m glad you noticed that, following your previous letter, I have pulled my pants up. In fact, your comments haunt me every time I touch the record button.
Wow – I never anticipated becoming a ‘man god’ – though I had hoped to be promoted to ‘grandad god’. You see, my videos are first and foremost made for the benefit of my grandkids. I never anticipated collateral damage – but am very pleased that there you are out there. “10s of men all over” seems a stretch, however.
I will gladly open up my hole when it’s finished, so that your “10s of men” can join you to bask in my grandkids’ legacy.
