RAAF rehearsing for Riverfire 2025

A Royal Australian Air Force C-17A Globemaster rehearsed its flying display through the heart of Brisbane today ahead of the city’s annual Riverfire festival on Saturday 6 September.

An iconic night in Brisbane’s calendar, Riverfire marks the explosive start of the Brisbane Festival.

This year, the city itself becomes part of the show, as artist duo Craig & Karl transform three of Brisbane’s cross-river bridges into bold, bright installations – a vivid celebration of creativity and colour that will light up the city.

And, of course, RAAF will bring the noise, with C-17A and F-18 Growlers expected to roar along the Brisbane River during Saturday evening’s show.
