On November 5, HMAS Supply made a welcome return to her ceremonial home port of Eden, arriving in Twofold Bay to conduct ammunitioning in preparation for upcoming sea trials.

Although the visit was brief, the crew was delighted to be back in the bay and to glimpse the majestic Bundian Way – after which the ship’s main passageway is named.
Sailing in on a spectacular spring morning, even the local whales seemed to join in on the warm welcome.
Commanding Officer Supply Commander Kylie Turnbull said the team was thrilled to return to Twofold Bay.
“It was only a short stop to pick up ammunition for our sea trials this week, but we couldn’t contain our excitement when we watched the morning sun illuminate the Bundian Way,” Commander Turnbull said.
“Even the humpback whales put on a spectacular show to welcome us.
“While our tight trials and assessment schedule prevents a full port visit at this time, we eagerly look forward to bringing Supply back to Eden just as soon as we can in 2026 for a visit packed full of community engagement.”
As Supply’s ceremonial home port, Eden holds a special significance for the ship and her crew. The visit served as a proud reminder of the strong connection between Navy and the Twofold Bay community.
