Liftshaft part 5 – where’s all that water coming from?

In this video I weigh all the dirt coming out of the liftshaft – and ponder, “where’s all that water coming from?”

I thought to add a liftshaft in the first place to make it easier to remove dirt from the basement excavation.

Now that I’ve done some digging in the shaft itself, it’s time to test various methods of removing the dirt from downstairs.

And this experimenting is leading me to think, maybe I don’t need a ‘lift’ at all – just the shaft will do.
