The 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, has received its first shipment of 13 Hawekei protected mobility vehicle – light (PMV-L).

In a Facebook post, the battalion said it was excited to introduce the new platform into service in order to complement its current motorised capability.

1RAR also has its own fleet of Bushmaster PMVs (protected mobility vehicle).

View an excellent (because I wrote it 😉 ) magazine article on 1RAR as it was beginning its transition to a motorised battalion, in 2017.
