- WE NEED YOUR ROYAL AUSTRALIAN INFANTRY STORIES -

Untitled Document

CONTACT is planning to mark the 60th anniversary of the Royal Australian Infantry Corps with the publication of a special, one-off, extra issue of CONTACT magazine - and we STILL need your help!
We invite members and former members of any Australian Infantry unit to submit stories pertaining to the history of the Corps since its inception in 1948.

Please contact the editor, Brian Hartigan, on 0408 496 664 or email the editor to discuss story requirements. Or, if you're not a confident writer but have a good story to tell, get in touch anyway and we can write it for you after a good long chat.
We currently have stories from Vietnam, Somalia and East Timor and would love to hear from members with experience in other theatres - or even exercises. Stories can be short or long, funny or serious, and we'd also love to receive original supporting photos.
Governor General, Major General Michael Jeffery has written the Foreword for this publication, and $1 from every issue sold will be donated to Legacy.

Clever CONTACT Competition

Untitled Document

In the current issue of CONTACT, there's one, sort of obvious, yet (I think) kinda clever reference to something old - something poetic - something very Australian.
The first person to correctly tell me what the clue is and what it refers to will win a one-year subscription to CONTACT Air Land & Sea.
And, if you can tell me how this clue might be related to CONTACT, I will make it a two-year subscription (if you already have a subscription, I'll extend it by the relevant period).

Entries to editor@militarycontact.com before 15 July.
