Army going all out to win at Bathurst

Army is going all out this weekend to win over rev-heads at Bathurst, with a number of displays at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Team Army’s Land Rover 6×6 supercharged truck, ‘Armygeddon’, and Ford LTD street machine, ‘Project Digger’ will be on show to engage with the motorsport community and spread awareness of technical trade training in the Army.

A 12-tonne Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle crewed by soldiers from 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers, accompanied by a rifle section from 1st/19th Battalion Royal New South Wales Regiment will also be present.

The Australian Army Band Sydney will be providing a great variety of performances including the ‘Rising Suns’ rock band, the ‘Frontline Band’, which is a mobile ensemble who wander through the crowds and an acoustic rock ensemble, which will perform contemporary ‘unplugged’ music.

And, of course, RAAF will be cutting some sweet moves in the air too.
